Yale University - Sleep Center Upgrades

The University of Yale chose LA Homes as their primary contractor for upgrades to their award winning Sleep Center located in Guilford, CT. The project included installing a new bathroom ceiling, replacing damaged molding near the front entrance, installing a new ceiling system in each bedroom and painting the foyer area of the Sleep Center as well as the bathroom and two bedrooms. In addition to this, we also made upgrades to their electrical system by installing additional duplex outlets in each bedroom, adding an individual light switch in each bedroom an another switch in the foyer area.

City of New Haven, CT - Bicycle Rack Installation at Various Parks

The City of New Haven, CT awarded LA Homes as their bicycle rack installation contractor at various parks and recreation spots in New Haven. We are responsible for mixing and forming a concrete pad below the subsurface and installing a the bicycle rack on top of the concrete pad. We will be installing approximately 18 bicycle racks at places such as Edgewood Park, East Rock Park and Nathan Hale Park. The installation of the bicycle racks will be another great step in promoting alternative modes of transportation, exercise and giving residents a safe and secure area to leave their bikes and scooters. We are very proud of this contribution and look forward to residents getting a lot of use out the bicycle racks.

HANH - Boarding Up Services

The Housing Authority of New Haven awarded LA Homes as their primary board up services contractor. We are responsible for boarding up all windows/doors when a unit or building becomes vacant or uninhabitable. This can happen due to a variety of reasons including but not limited to eviction, fire emergency, water emergency, tenant move-out, burglary or vandalism to name a few. When any of these situation occurs, HANH contacts us to perform a board up, which is essentially covering and securing all exterior windows and doors to prevent unauthorized entry or access to the interior of the unit/building.

City of New Haven - State Street Fence

The City of New Haven awarded LA Homes the State Street Triangle Fence project which includes renovating and restoring the historically significant triangle fence on state street in New Haven. The job included striping the fence down to its bare iron metal, applying a new primer coat application and painting the fence a new and improved glossy black. There were parts of the fence that were missing that had to be fabricated and installed.

HANH - Scattered Sites Fence Repair

The Housing Authority of the City of New Haven chose LA Homes as their scattered sites fence repair and replacement project. The project includes repairing and replacing damaged and or missing fencing at their numerous residential housing properties. We are responsible for fabricating the fence and installing the fence including the fabric wire mesh, top rails and installing all intermediate and terminal posts. The two primary types of fencing we will be working with are chain link and wood stockade.

City of New Haven - Painting Services

The New Haven, CT Board of Education chose LA Homes as their primary painting services contractor. We are directly responsible for all painting and varnishing services within the New Haven public school system. The primary job includes painting, varnishing and plastering all walls and ceilings. And we will be primarily painting classrooms, offices, lockers, railings and doors including the door trim. We are very happy that we were chosen for the job and it is a first for us with the Board of Education.
